Kansas City 'NextGen Leaders' Listicle Celebrates John McGurk & Toy Train

McGurk is 42 so I'm not sure that makes him "NextGen" . . . It's extremely likely that gets called "boomer" like the rest of us trying to order an overpriced coffee from angry people in their 20s.

Still . . . The KC Biz Journal "NEXTGEN LEADERS" series highlighted one of this blog's old pals and we thought it would be nice to consider the legacy of this power player considering he's well on the way to future local dominance . . .

 He also cherishes the four years he worked as chief of staff in Mayor Sly James’ office campaigning for the streetcar construction and expansion projects.

“I always really hold the streetcar near and dear to my heart. I think we have already seen that payoff.”
