A few moments ago, local night owl social media erupted with concern over gunfire echoing through Downtown Kansas City.
There were reports of multiple shots fired on the west side of Downtown near John's Big Deck & by the Marriott hotel.
Later . . .
Follow-up social media blasts reported injuries following the barrage of gunfire.
EMS sirens echoed through the area and some witnesses claim two injuries including one female as a result of the exchange of gunfire.
What we know for sure is that the spate of shooting lasted for several minutes and came from two distinct sources.
UPDATE . . . MSM reports triple shooting and offers insight into the gun fight.
