Today's stunning conclusion . . . The bus can be a drag because you have to smell strangers. 

These are compromises so many of us have had to make during our lives . . . On the bright side, paying for parking is an insult to human dignity and dodging homeless people with mental health issues provides effective & free cardio.

Riding the bus in Kansas City

Despite being designed for cars, Kansas City is home to people who rely on the bus every day. KCUR's Gina Kaufmann spent a day riding along with Richard Heimer, a person who relies on the city's buses for his commute, to learn what's working and what's not in our public transit system.
