Pretend To Understand KC Port Authority

These insider deal are a big deal to council members who can't manage to do much but annoy their own colleagues . . . Meanwhile, we're unconvinced that these sketchy deal resonate with the public.  

TKC Fact Check: Mostly locals don't know that KC has a "port" and/or how much biz that this public/private group conducts.

Port KC may award tax breaks for $55 million apartment project, despite developer's murky record

The Port Authority of Kansas City forged ahead with a $55 million apartment project at Berkley Riverfront despite concerns raised about the project's developer. The Port Authority's development committee voted 5-1 on first round approval of financing for St. Louis developer Lux Living's proposed 251-unit apartment project on Monday.
