Kris Kobach Statement on Leak of Draft Supreme Court Opinion

Attorney General Candidate Endorsed by Kansans for Life Today Says Leak is Inciting Intimidation

“As a former judicial clerk for the 10th circuit, I can say with certainty that the leak of the Dobbs opinion does incredible damage to the independent judiciary that protects our Constitution. It was done to invite protest and to place outside pressure on members of the court.“

Wichita, Kansas -- Kansans for Life announced today that the pro-life organization is endorsing Kris Kobach for Kansas Attorney General.

“With abortion extremists attacking pro-life laws in Kansas, the race for attorney general has never been more important,” KFL PAC Director Kristina Smith said. “Kris Kobach has a long history with our movement. Pro-life Kansans and those we seek to protect must continue to have a voice in the Attorney General’s Office.”

Former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is uniquely qualified to defend the unborn in court once the Value Them Both Amendment passes. A former Constitutional law professor, Kobach has successfully litigated a number of cases in federal court, including winning cases against both the Obama Administration and the Biden Administration, as well as the ACLU.

“Electing an attorney general with the experience to successfully defend Kansas’s pro-life laws is more important than ever right now,” Kobach said. “I am grateful for the KFL PAC’s faith in my ability to defend the unborn in a court of law. As Kansas Attorney General, we will fight every day to defend the right to life.”
