We don't really have much commentary to contribute on a school walkout today other than to note that it's an important sign of the times and a glimpse at protest culture on the rise.
We'll only offer this because the main concern for adults and parents in Kansas City shout be the safety of youngsters . . .
Lincoln is the lone standout for academic achievement inside the KCPS . . . If these scholars feel unsafe, imagine the students in crisis in other, neglected corners of the district.

Lincoln Prep students hold walkout over safety and discrimination concerns
Just over two dozen students at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy staged a walkout and protest Monday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri. Students say the protest was the result of a concerning number of ongoing issues affecting student safety and administrative neglect.A Lincoln Prep staff member was recently removed from the school for alleged inappropriate behavior.
