Kansas City Memorial Day 2022 Aftermath: Double Shooting & More . . .

Allow us a bit of nostalgia at the end of the holiday weekend . . . I think we've talked about this before but this blog always admired those old school TV sign-off breaks at the end of the broadcast day.

The classic American TV national anthem sign-off always provided a "sense of place" and a quick realization that the news and all of the content on the TV was just somebody's pain-in-the-ass job. Now social media fools plebs into thinking that "the news" is more like the weather and a force of nature rather than merely yet another product of both corporations and the state.

Accordingly, we take a hot second to gather top headlines, pop culture and community news for night owls and early birds.
