A man charged in the death of a woman and her unborn baby in Olathe in 2018 was found guilty Monday.On Jan. 30, 2018, Ashley Harlan was found dead in a townhome in the 1200 block of East Westerfield Place.Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe said Monday that the jury deliberated for three hours after a three-week trial and found Devonte Wash, of Kansas City, Kansas, guilty.


Man who killed elderly Missouri couple in 1996 to be executed Tuesday

BONNE TERRE, Mo. - Carman Deck, who and killed an elderly De Soto during a home robbery in 1996, is set to be executed for his crime on Tuesday. Over the past 24 years, Deck's death sentence had been overturned and reinstated on three separate occasions.


Owner of SK Security in Kansas City accused of shooting man

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Jackson County Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against the owner of SK Security for shooting a man. Sidney Kile, 24, faces assault in the first-degree and armed criminal action. SK Security has offices in downtown KCMO at McGee Street and east 12th Street where police got called to a shooting the night of March 31.
