Kansas City 2022 Homicide Count Spikes To #56 After Double Murder Discovery

Once again we're moving past RECORD BREAKING HOMICIDE NUMBERS OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS . . .

Homicide @ 2nd & Lydia

Information:  there is no public access to the scene.  The scene is off of railroad property and for safety reasons you cannot respond there.  I will be at the intersection of E 5th Street and Troost in front of Garrison Square Park if anyone wants to respond for sound.

Just before 9am, officers were called to the area of 2nd and Lydia in regard to a dead body call for service.  Upon arrival, officers located two victims, a male and a female, in a wooded area suffering from apparent trauma.  EMS responded to the scene and declared both victims deceased.

Detectives and Crime Scene personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for potential witnesses.
