
In between debating politics and sharing links to all things local, we need to make time to keep up with the worsening deadly crisis on local streets that, sadly, hasn't met with as much conversation.
Here's the latest report as the KCMO murder count continues to keep pace with record breaking numbers over the past two years . . .
Homicide Linwood and Indiana
This evening at approximately 7:10 PM, officers were in the area of 33rd and Indiana when they heard multiple gunshots. As they quickly responded north toward Linwood they observed what appeared to be multiple people exchanging gunfire just to the south of Linwood and Indiana.
More officers immediately responded to the area to assist. One gunshot victim, an adult male, was found in the business parking lot on the south west corner. EMS pronounced that victim deceased.
Three persons of interest have been taken into custody. At this time we do not know what preceded the shooting but we do not have any indication anyone who may have been at the school was involved.
Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence. If you wish to remain anonymous you can call the TIPS hotline at 474-TIPS, with up to a $25,000 reward for an arrest in this case.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One person is dead and several people are in custody following a shooting Tuesday night outside Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. The shooting was reported just after 7 p.m. at a BP gas station near Linwood Boulevard and Indiana Avenue.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a shooting at a BP Gas Station that left one person dead on Tuesday night. According to KCPD, officers were near east 33rd Street and Indiana Avenue when they heard gun shots at around 7:10 p.m.
