Kansas City 2022 Homicide #54: Overnight Deadly Gunfire Erupts

Once again, not even midway through 2022, the local homicide count outpaces the past two DEADLY RECORD BREAKING YEARS in this cowtown's history.

Here's the first report . . .

Homicide 8300 block of E. Gregory Blvd.

This evening just before 11:30pm, officers were called to the 8300 block of E Gregory Blvd in regard to a shooting.  Upon arrival, they located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds outside in front of a residence.  EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.  Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for any potential witnesses.

Kansas City Police investigating homicide near E. 71st and E. Gregory

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Police are investigating a homicide in the 8300 block of E. Gregory. Police say they were called to the area about 11:30 p.m. on a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a victim had been shot outside of a home in that area.
