Officers were called to the 3700 block of Plaza Drive in KCK shortly after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found a female victim with an apparent gunshot wound.

She was in critical condition when she was rushed to the hospital where she later died this afternoon.
