Newlyweds Patrick & Brittany Mahomes Join Coachella Party

Forgive our cynical blogger bias but it doesn't seem like Paddy is too impressed with any of it.

Meanwhile, whilst we're enjoying microwave pizza just purchased from our favorite box store . . .

Quite a few trendy locals noticed Britt putting her leggy Coachella outfit on blast for Saturday.

For those who don't know . . .

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an UPSCALE annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert.

And so . . .

The jet-setting adventures of Kansas City's perennial homecoming queen inspire our playlist tonight.

Also, music fans might simply view this as an overview of our meager EDM understanding that should serve as a reference point for great appreciation . . .

There are a million places that we could start but this song by Martin Garrix seems to exemplify the current and very aggressive EDM era . . . It starts fast, builds up to "the drop" and then keeps grinding away.

No EDM music list is complete without Daft Punk and this was their most popular song - Pop music aficionados might realize that it's just a reworked Chic tune.

Hip-hop has provided the muse for many EDM tunes but we think the perfect synthesis is represented by this song from DJ Snake & Lil John . . . Also the video makes us laugh every time we watch it.

Again . . . No fundamental understanding of EDM is capable without at least a brief mention of DeadMau5 . . . "Some Chords" is one of his better songs and this clip offers a not so long ago glimpse at his legion of devoted fans.

Again . . . We always strive to dig a bit deeper than most blogs and, although we've shared it before, we believe that anybody who REALLY wanted to understand EDM will have to go back to the 80s and consider the origins of the genre . . . This iconic 1981 song by Kraftwerk is a crossover hit that marks the beginning of a transformative trend.

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.
