The 2020 show was postponed after the COVID-19 pandemic erupted across the Midwest in March 2020 and had to be postponed a second time from August 2020 to August 2021, when a mask mandate remained in effect for the city.While there will still be some enhanced health and safety protocols — and plenty of exhibitors and attendees will be masked, because it’s comicon — Planet Comicon Kansas City will inch “a little bit closer back to the normal world” on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Bartle Hall inside the Kansas City Convention Center, even spokesman Chris Phelan said.
