Kansas City Tax Hike Threat Week In Review

Quick update . . . After calling TKC a 'Buttf*cker' via newsletter subscription tag . . . I no longer get the 'Flatland' e-mail blast that provides a preview of all the scintillating content KC PBS has to offer.

Until there is a reboot of Downton Abbey it's not really a big deal . . . And Internets subscription updates help keep us on the lookout for this conversation every week.

We've covered most of their talking points but here's what stands out . . .

NEWSIES CLAIM THERE'S NO OPPOSITION TO KCMO QUESTION 1 & 2 TAX INCREASES AND THAT'S SIMPLY NOT THE CASE!!!

Our blog community has been loud & proud AND clear about calling out this issue and whilst we don't expect a victory, close viewers & readers will notice that we've moved the dial as far as the local discourse is concerned.

Supporters of these ballot questions are NOT unchallenged about the reality of tax increases amid historic inflation and rising gas prices.

Accordingly, we share a bit more about this week's conversation . . .

"Nick Haines, Lisa Rodriguez, Micheal Mahoney, Eric Wesson and Dave Helling discuss reports that the Chiefs are considering stadium sites in Kansas, news that Nordstrom is backing out of Plaza deal and remaining at Oak Park Mall, Trudy Busch Valentine entering Missouri U.S. Senate race, Rick Smith's alleged comments on Black Lives Matter protests and key issues and races in next week's election."
