Some of our very BEST & BRIGHTEST TKC READERS point us to more detail on a current animal shelter dilemma that earned news coverage this week.

Of course we have a long standing debate with this group but that doesn't mean that the pets don't need help AND there's an opportunity for locals to make new friends . . .

"This graphic represents all of the kennels where adoptable and dogs on stray hold are held, and you can see all the kennels that currently are housing a dog. Any open spaces will be filled by the end of the day unless we move animals out through adoptions, into foster homes, or if we reunite them with their owners. This graphic doesn't include dogs in our hospital,, dog suites, or in our quarantine areas, and all yellow, blue, and navy kennels all house dogs 30 pounds or more."
