The Office of the Tenant Advocate was created to assist renters with a variety of available services ensuring safe and affordable accommodations for all Kansas City residents.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and the City Council passed legislation creating a Tenant Bill of Rights, insuring the rights of tenants across Kansas City. This legislation provides protection for property owners, landlords and tenants.
