KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas Citians will begin to see fountains turned on around the city beginning on Tuesday. Officials will turn on all city-owned fountains to celebrate "Fountain Day 2022." According to the city, there are more than 200 registered fountains in the city.

It's a big day for doctors and staff at AdventHealth KC.For the first time in more than two years, there are no active COVID-19 patients in the entire hospital.Officials with the Shawnee Mission facility announced the milestone in a tweet Monday."Our ICU and PCU teams have worked tirelessly to provide excellent care for their patients and have faced COVID-19 with grace, compassion and tenacity," hospital officials said in a statement.This is the first time since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 - more than two years - that there have been no active COVID-19 patients in the hospital.
