KANSAS CITY HIGH TAX TUESDAY TRICKS LOW INFO VOTERS!?!

Remember that not so long ago journalists wondered what would happen without newspapers to inform the public about important political issues.

Here we are . . .

KANSAS CITY TAX INCREASES THAT ARE FAVORED TO WIN ARE A DIRECT RESULT OF LOCAL MEDIA FAIL TO WARN THE VOTING PUBLIC!!!

This blog has provided more coverage and warning than anybody else and we're disappointed that there wasn't as single journalist who bothered to ask Mayor Q about his callous strategy that would raise taxes on locals at the outset of recession.

To be fair . . .

Mayor Q hasn't really campaigned much for this tax spike and the council is keeping their head down.

In fact . . .

It's hard to find anybody who REALLY supports these two tax increases that threat to make KCMO life just a little less affordable.

People seem to be more excited about po'dunk school board elections wherein the plebs get to pretend to be a part of the national news conversation.

Still . . .

This low point of American politics and local voter turnout deserves some consideration.

So TKC shares this coverage in hopes that people will make up their own mind . . .
