Remember that local fans pretty much DESTROYED this guy's career with their irrational exuberance and mistaken belief that something besides moneyball luck determined the fate of MLB teams.
Now, whilst there's no doubt his return is triumphant, but it seems more like an exercise in lowered expectations.
Here's a more optimistic take . . .
"Pitcher Zack Greinke will be back on the mound Thursday for the Royals Home Opener. Last month, the team signed him to a one-year deal. The Royals' skipper said Greinke is ready to go."
