Fanboi Proposition: Undefeated Kansas City Royals Prime For Playoffs

We all know how this season is going to go . . .

The Royals roster is weak and they aren't getting much respect from baseball insiders. They're likely to lose anywhere from 90 to 100 games.

However . . . 

Right now we can't argue with their record and there might be some reasons for optimism. 

Sadly . . . Nobody is buying a conservative analysis of the team. Instead . . . This town craves hype and fanatical support of a franchise that's working behind the scenes to garner NEARLY A BILLION BUCKS IN TAXPAYERS SUPPORT for a downtown stadium. 

According, for Saturday, it's appropriate to let "athletic supporters" have their say . . .

"Let’s go entirely overboard in analyzing what this means for the Royals going forward! Obviously the Royals won’t go 162-0, but 100 wins doesn’t seem outside the realm of possibility if all the games go similarly to that one!

Overreacting to Opening Day

Baseball is finally, blessedly back! Instead of projecting rosters and talent, we can begin to evaluate what actually happens on the field, instead! As a baseball writer, there is little that brings me more joy than the opportunity to make that transition. Sadly, we've only had one game. Happily, I don't care.
