Snowpocolypse Cancels Kansas City Trash Pickup Again

Today locals have another reminder about the limited capacity of Kansas City, Missouri local government to perform basic tasks during bad weather.

Meanwhile . . . It's important to remember that there are parts of KCMO that have gone weeks without trash pickup . . .

Trash and recycling collection will be suspended on Thursday and Friday so drivers are available to plow snow. Specifically, this means

- No trash or recycling pickup on Thursday, March 10, and Friday, March 11.
- Residents with Thursday or Friday trash pickup days will be allowed to place four bags out next week.
- Curbside recycling is unlimited.

Trash and recycling services delayed again in KC before the arrival of another winter storm

Due to the impending snowstorm, waste management services will not collect residential trash and recycling in Kansas City, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri, on Thursday and Friday. The service stoppages are the latest in a string of delays due to winter weather.
