In practical terms . . . 

Same sex couples are the strongest driving force of real estate renewal that Kansas City and the nation have ever seen. This is a truism that's so accurate that quite a few LGBT denizens don't like it when the pesky straights notice . . . Very much like many gay dudes don't like so many straight ladies slumming at their bars because the music is better, dancing is more fun and the date rape risk is remarkably less. 

Nevertheless . . .

Seriously, collectively, they have a higher success rate than any developer because they invest their own hard earned cash and sometimes convince their friends to do the same. 

Of course an upcoming public TV documentary overlooks any practical concern like real estate BUT it seems somewhat entertaining nevertheless . . .
