KANSAS CITY ICE RAIN DOWNPOUR SUNDAY NIGHT!!!

Credit where it's due . . .

KANSAS CITY WEATHER NEWSIES ALMOST GOT THIS SUNDAY NIGHT ICE RAIN DUMP RIGHT!!!

Right now it seems just a bit worse than what was predicted and the forecasts didn't start getting really specific until this morning . . . Likely in order to entertain our local shut-ins who leave local TV running. 

Meanwhile, whilst buying a gas station hot dog and discount soda and contemplating world peace . . . We noticed the ice rain drops were pretty significant and because KCMO streets are always hot garbage cars were sliding around just a bit at the outset of the evening. Please drive carefully if you have to be out on the street tonight.

Here's the best estimation of the downpour so far . . . 

"The heaviest rain, sleet, and/or snow will be heaviest before midnight. The good news is that it should move out of the metro before the Monday morning drive."
