Homicide 11800 block of N Illinois
(Saturday Night) just before 11pm officers were called to the 11800 block of N Illinois in regard to a disturbance involving a weapon. While en route, the call was updated to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, an adult female, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a residence. EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased.
Officers have taken a subject of interest into custody.
Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel responded to the scene. They will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for any potential witnesses.
