Kansas City Eviction Moratoriums Didn't Matter To This Landlord


Despite a great deal of social media flexing and protest blather, protester against eviction didn't really do much but raise their own profile and help their political allies.

In fact, evictions have been going strong despite pandemic rule according to a recent report.

Monarch, middle America’s fastest-growing landlord, says it worked hard to avoid evicting tenants during the pandemic, even launching an aid fund that provided at least $414,000 in rent on behalf of 301 vulnerable tenants.

Still, in just St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri, more than 1,000 households have faced eviction filings by Monarch since March 2020, most while eviction moratoriums were in effect.
