Police say they're investigating an apparent suicide outside of Shoal Creek Patrol Division

Police confirmed the investigation to KMBC after police were spotted outside of the Shoal Creek Patrol Division. Officers did say that they believed the person that took their life was a civilian and not an officer.


Suspicious death investigation underway after woman's body is found in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Homicide detectives are on the scene of a suspicious death in South Kansas City where a woman's body was discovered. Officers responded at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday to a location on Old Santa Fe Road near East 91st Street in response to a railroad worker finding a body near the tracks.


Police looking to identify suspect that robbed pawn shop at gunpoint

Police are looking to identify a suspect that held three women at gunpoint while robbing a pawn shop. On Twitter Tuesday, police released an acquired security video of the crime occurring.KCPD says the armed robbery happened at about 6 p.m. on Feb. 18 at the Cash America Pawnshop.

A Garden City, Missouri, man has been charged in connection with the drug death of a Harrisonville woman in March of last year.The Cass County Prosecutor's Office charged Kyle P. Calhoun, 33, with first-degree involuntary manslaughter, which is a class-C felony.Cass County Sheriff's Office said that on March 19, 2021, deputies were called to a home in the 100 block of Main Street in Garden City for an unresponsive female.
