Kansas City Artists Desperately Seeking Local Relevance By Way Of Public TV Hype Video

Don't get it twisted . . .

TKC LOVES KANSAS CITY ART!!!

However . . .

Most of it is garbage and there are really only a handful of local artists who merit any consideration and have been able to garner REAL careers selling their work.

Unfortunately . . .

A few opportunistic local politicos have embraced quite a few marginally talented cowtown artists in order to feign grassroots support and trick these casual-drug-using hacks into thinking that they're activists or that their crackpot opinions could somehow influence local policy.

Nevertheless, just like any big city, there are quite a few artsy locals who proclaim their talent over and above everyone else . . .

Here's more on the sketchy premise that this "community" merits more attention than others . . .

Aside from providing an opportunity to promote creatives, the documentary will begin a community arts celebration, giving locals a chance to learn more about art experiences highlighted by ArtsKC and ArtsKCGo.com.

The hour-long special is set to premiere April 28, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. via Kansas City PBS’s KCPT platform, and is presented by Blue KC and Spira Care. It will feature interviews with local artists, exploring how each imaginative endeavor promotes growth and learning in the community.
