Kansas City 2022 Homicide #33: Deadly Gunfire Erupts Late Friday

Law enforcement power shifts but Kansas City's most pressing crisis continues unabated. 

Here's the first report from a deadly crime scene as this town's murder numbers continue on an upward trajectory . . .

Homicide 2400 block of Quincy

This afternoon just before 4pm officers were called to the area of 24th and Quincy on a reported shooting.  Upon their arrival officers located the victim, a male, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.  The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for any potential witnesses.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A shooting late Friday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri is now being investigated as a homicide. Officers responded to a shooting call just before 4 p.m. near 24th Street and Quincy Avenue. When officers arrived on scene they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
