There's something to consider here for everyone . . .
We've noticed lot of grassroots excitement over former Marine Megan Marshall.
However . . .
Voters might notice that she is aligning herself with Exec Frank White from the outset. And that could cost her some Eastern Jack support.
Still . . . There's not a lot of love for Legislator Tony Miller from any key bloc of voters.
So, we take a peek at her recent argument against the incumbent . . .
"It’s curious that Miller thinks residents of Jackson County need convincing to expect the millions of dollars they pay in taxes each year to be used to address the growing murder rate, substance abuse deaths, and unfair property tax assessments. Most taxpayers expect exactly that.
"Miller may need reminding that over $19 million dollars in sales taxes are collected by the county annually to fund the county’s Community Backed Anti-Crime Tax (COMBAT)program. COMBAT funds are to be used solely for the purpose of the arrest and prosecution, incarceration, treatment, and prevention of drug-related offenses and violent crimes.
"Rather than working to make these much-needed programs more robust, Miller has used his two terms on the legislature to spend an additional $250,000 of taxpayer dollars to sue the County Executive, Frank White, and hundreds of thousands more in lawsuits because of the deplorable conditions of the Jackson County Detention Center. Maybe Miller forgot providing a jail was within the “purview” of county government."
Her campaign kick-off video is also worth a look:

Tony Miller Dismisses Duty To Protect Jackson County Taxpayers
Tony Miller doesn't think it's the county legislature's job to address violent crime, rising property taxes, and the opioid overdose epidemic. Two-term incumbent Tony Miller filed for re-election to the Jackson County Legislature on Tuesday morning. Miller's time on the legislature has been dogged by accusations of absenteeism and misuse of taxpayer dollars.
