WRONGFUL TERMINATION RUCKUS HITS GUADALUPE CENTERS!!!

In the future, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to blog about this but for now we might as well share the inside scoop . . . 

GUADALUPE CENTERS CONFRONTS EMPLOYEE REVOLT AMID AN ONGOING FIRING SPREE!!!

The basics . . .

Workers are talking about a wrongful termination lawsuit that threatens to name the current head honcho and the board. 

Also . . . 

Parents from GCI's "Alta Vista" high school have organized and claim that the new leadership is "out of touch" and seems to have forgotten about their students.

And more than anything . . . GCI has completely lost its connection with the local Latino community and has quickly become a shell of itself.  

However, the deets from inside the organization are much worse. 

Check more insight into an employee dispute .  . .

"One of the workers is alleging age discrimination and another alleges that she was bullied into returning to work as an assistant to the executive before her maternity leave had expired (during the height of COVID) and was then transferred to another department. "

More to the point and a fact we don't mind shouting . . .

CICI ROJAS HAS CREATED YET ANOTHER KANSAS CITY DISASTER!!! EVEN WORSE, LEE'S SUMMIT POLITICO BETO LOPEZ DOESN'T HAVE THE SKILLZ TO CLEAN UP HER MESS!!!

This is also important from our perspective . . .

Let's not forget that our friends in gringo progressive media totally screwed up this story . . . 

Because so many newsies don't know a lot of local Latinos and/or that don't have contact with many people who will share even a shred of neighborhood knowledge . . . They believed far too much hype about an "investigation" into the former leader Cris Medina -- Despite the fact that the Westside titan built the place through of years of intense labor, skill and stubbornness. 

After a few months local media reversed course and realized that GCI was quickly losing all of its neighborhood credibility. 

Of course our blog community was right about this hot mess all along . . . And a year later there hasn't been any result or even at hint about an "investigation" that was merely a ploy to remove the founder and place control into the hands of "executive" community leaders who love giving orders but can't stand doing much in the way of hard work. 

But beyond our contempt for local Latinos who put on cheap suits and smile for a living . . .

GCI is a valuable resource for all of Kansas City's urban core and for more than a century they have helped to educate youngsters, run programs for seniors and help a variety of people in dire need. 

Now . . . 

A half-baked political power play has resulted in a worker revolt, outcry against new management and serious doubts about the future of the organization under its current leadership.
