Love Redux: Mayor Q Team Denied Request For Photo With Wifey!!!

Kansas City Mayor Q keeps a stellar social media profile but he's rarely seen in public with his better half.

It's not like she's a private person . . . If fact, until very recently she was a top ranking bureaucrat in The Dotte and often delivered vital information to the public. 

Heck, she even has a few Internets pages dedicated to her career trajectory. 

Recently, a local society mag wanted to get a pick of the power couple together for a Valentine's Day pictorial and they were SHUT DOWN by Mayor Q's team and one of his most strident supporters.

Here's the word on the QT & very hush, hush . . .

"We were treated like we asking them for a kidney or like we were spies. Asking for a photo of the mayor with his wife is pretty standard stuff for every Kansas City publication since cameras were invented. I don't understand the hostility," a local editor told TKC. 

A bit more insight . . . 

"We keep on hearing about how Kansas City is a great place for young, educated professionals to live and it seemed only natural to have the mayor and his family make that case in what was a totally softball piece." 

"He has put his new son on Twitter and those photos are adorable. We wanted to provide more professional photography and do an extended interview with the Mayor and his wife . . . But his team gave us the cold shoulder and eventually brushed us off completely. If they don't have anything to hide . . . Why is there such secrecy?"

And that's where things get even more interesting . . . 

WORD AROUND THE CAMPFIRE IS THAT THE GOAL OF 'TEAM Q' IS TO KEEP THE MAYOR'S WIFE OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT FOR THE DURATION OF HIS REELECTION CAMPAIGN!!!

It's even worse than that . . .

Insiders contend that advisers to the Mayor are working to persuade "friendly" news outlets to run as many photos of him with African-American females as possible . . .

For instance . . . Some locals mistakenly believed the KCMO Mayor was dating the new STL Mayor. Whilst they recently dogged bullets together . . . The are, in fact, not romantically linked. 

For the record . . . 

We believe if the mayor's wife wants to stay out of public view . . . That's her prerogative. But she, in fact, remains a public figure. 

And given that the Mayor recently moved out of the East side . . . 

It's not unfair for locals to ask minor questions about his commitments.

Like it or not . . . 

Family support is often a talking point for many politicos and Mayor Q's team choosing to treat this topic with hostility sets off alarms for local journalists.
