Kansas City Triple Shooting Kills Two & Hits Youngster Early Monday

Overnight a horrific spate of gunfire rocked an urban core neighborhood.

- Unofficially, this is the 21st homicide so far this year. 

- Kansas City is now keeping pace with 2020 - The most violent year in KCMO history which also hosted 21 murders at this date on the calendar.  

- This is the 2nd KCMO murder in 24 hours as temperatures start to rise - That doesn't bode well for the warmer part of the year.

Now, here's the first report . . . 

Homicide Linwood and Agnes

This morning about 12:45 am officers were dispatched to Linwood and Agnes on a shooting call. On arrival officers were directed to a vehicle in a parking lot there with 3 shooting victims inside.

Two adult victims (one male one female) were found unresponsive and a third victim, a juvenile male under 10, was located inside the vehicle, he had appeared to have been shot as well.

Officers summoned EMS to the scene. They declared the two adult victims deceased here at the scene. The juvenile victim was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries, last reported to be critical but stable.

Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting, the victims’ ID and if they live in this area or were visiting. They are also canvassing for witnesses and processing the evidence along with crime scene investigators.

There are a lot of multi family residences in this immediate area so detectives are hopeful that someone may have information. 2 dead, child injured in shooting early Monday morning

A man and woman are dead and a child is fighting for his life after a shooting early Monday morning.It happened around 12:45 a.m. near Linwood & Agnes.Police found the three in a vehicle in a parking lot.The man and woman were dead when police arrived.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two adults were killed and a child under the age of 10 was injured in an overnight shooting. Kansas City police responded to the crime scene at Linwood and Agnes shortly before midnight. Officers said they found the three victims in a car parked in a lot.
