Kansas City Star Challenges Po'Dunk College Honcho Over Stupid Hitler Comment

Today's most interesting item from the so-called paper-of-record today is a silly quote from a rural college leader in the midst of a discrimination lawsuit.

Better reporting on the legal side of the conflict comes from a smaller paper . . .

Ex-coaches allege racial unfairness, take Highland college back to court

Three ex-leaders of the women's basketball team at Highland Community College have filed more federal litigation against the college, alleging racial unfairness remains a problem there and that they were fired for resisting it. B.J. Smith, Jered Ross and Brad Zinn are co-plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed this week in the U.S.

 

However, the Star puts themselves in a difficult position . . . If they don't bring down this academic nobody out in the sticks . . . Then they kinda reveal that they're powerless and their readership is mostly comprised of bored bloggers and keyboard warriors consuming their screeds . . . For free.

And I think we all know that's not enough to power a real business.
