Let's not forget that even the best laid plans of Kansas City developers have met unfortunate conclusions.

The debacle at Mission Gateway comes to mind first given that the empty promises and sketchy schemes continue to this day . . .
Some of the BEST & BRIGHTEST readers remember the "West Edge" nightmare on the Plaza that suffered demolition before it was completed
Meanwhile . . . COVID and corporate intrigue killed hopes for a Waddell & Reed downtown KCMO HQ and that building remains empty despite so many questionable reassurances.
And so . . .
TELL US ABOUT YOUR SUGGESTION FOR KANSAS CITY'S WORST LOCAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEME!!!
And all of this is important because Kansas City suits would like the public to think that taxpayer subsidy and/or questionable real estate speculation will create jobs and spark economic growth even if their schemes don't always succeed.
