Kansas City, Kansas Redux: Don't Forget About Denali Depreciation

This week the Mayor of KCK displayed a surprising bit of courage and good judgement by returning a Yukon Denali as his official vehicle.

Reversing course is never easy he'll likely sustain a bit of political damage for the episode, but far less if he kept it.

Nevertheless . . .

INSIDERS TELL TKC THAT VOTERS SHOULDN'T FORGET ABOUT DEPRECIATION THAT WILL COST TAXPAYERS!!!

Here's the word . . .

"We're talking taking a 25% hit right out of the gate. Sure, the used car market is great right now but that doesn't really apply to 80K luxury vehicles that are out of the price range of must people. Of course the dealer will take it back but not without a deep discount."

Certainly, KICK-ASS INSIDERS understand that the new mayor's political capital has to be considered as well in calculating the vehicle's return

Yet . . .

The fact remains that this deal was never going to work out well for taxpayers.

The loss on the car's return will likely go unreported and hopefully won't hurt the historic career of a politico who STILL has a great deal of support despite car trouble early in his career.

Developing . . .
