Kansas City Chiefs PR Team Stays Winning Against Magazine

Quick postscript on the state of local journalism . . . Lulz. 

Yesterday we had an 'interesting' conversation about Jackson Mahomes and his TikTok antics.

In that discussion we included a link from KC Magazine regarding their quote on the dust up and its implication.

We noted that they might have taken the episode too seriously and the infamous 'lil bro probably deserves to be seen as just another Internets clown (we can spot our own) rather than than a serious representation of the team or KC's favorite baller. 

However . . .

Look closely and notice that story is no longer on the website . . . At least we don't see it.

We're guessing the real danger is that the mag might have printed the work and kept a permanent record. 

Internets reality . . . In another month this controversy will be forgotten and dancing Jackson Mahomes will be evoking ire for some other reason.

However, the lesson remains . . .

WHEN KANSAS CITY NEWSIES COME AT THE CHIEFS HARD, THE TEAM WILL PUSH BACK!!!

That sounds sexy but what it really means is that most of the sports reporting, criticism and discussion in KC proper will always be woefully limp.
