Kansas City Black History Website Debuts

Rather than pout about this month like a reactionary dork, we hope our readers will take an opportunity to learn new things about this town.

Here's one convenient opportunity out of many . . .

"The new website features the biographies of Black Kansas Citians who blazed trails, broke barriers, and shaped our city’s history," KC Library media relations specialist Talia Evans said.

The site will also contain lesson plans developed by historians and teachers, alongside an archive program with dozens of interviews, lectures and panel discussions about all aspects of Black history in KC.
