6-YEAR-OLD BOY KILLED & DECAPITATED IN KANSAS CITY!!!

In one of the most horrific stories so far this year, the death of a youngster adds to the rising homicide total in Kansas City.

The KCMO homicide count is now 18 following the murder of an innocent soul. Remember at this time last year there were only 15 homicides - And that proved to be 2nd deadliest year in local history.

Here's the first report . . . 

Homicide 7300 block of Indiana

The victim is a 6 year old male . . .The investigators will be submitting a case to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office today.

(Yesterday evening) just before midnight officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of Indiana on a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, based on exigent circumstances, officers forced entry Into the residence. Once inside, a juvenile under the age of 10 was found deceased. An adult female was taken into custody at the scene.

Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence. "Officers saw what appeared to be blood leading up from the sidewalk to the front door when they arrived. They could hear a woman singing from inside the residence. As they knocked on the door, she sang even louder.

"Police were aware that three children were associated with the residence, the court record says. From outside, they were able to see a severed head.

"Officers forced their way into the home based on the belief that the children and woman inside were in danger. Inside, they found a woman in the kitchen. She had blood on her hands and feet, court records state.

"Outside the kitchen officers saw the severed head of a small child, near the rest of his body. A decapitated dog was discovered in the basement. "

Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating the death of a young child Tuesday night.Police were called to a house in the 7300 block of Indiana just before midnight to investigate a reported disturbance.Concerned officers forced their way into the home and found a child under 10 years old dead inside.Police took a woman into custody.Homicide detectives are investigating.
