Endorsement Debate Starts Jackson County 1st District Primary!!!

This is inside baseball but it's worth a look . . .

Right now the campaign for the Jackson County 1st District Legislature office has already started with a bit of controversy.

ENDORSEMENTS IN THIS CONTEST ARE UP FOR GRABS AND THERE'S AN ARGUMENT ABOUT WHERE LOCAL POLITICOS STAND!!!

Tonight's argumentation . . .

School Board member Manny Abarca lists KCMO Councilman Eric Bunch & Missouri Rep. Ashley Aune as his supporters.

Meanwhile . . .

Those two are on record endorsing activist Justice Horn.

Here's the update from Northeast News . . .

To be fair . . .

Dual endorsements aren't uncommon in down ballot primaries. Also, we know that The Northeast News HATES Mr. Abarca . . . I think we've all seen the 200 comment flame wars that prove as much.

NEVERTHELESS . . .

What we know from this first salvo is that the Jackson County 1st District primary might be the most interesting contest in the metro and will resonate across the KCMO progressive political spectrum.

Activist Justice Horn and his camp look to be busy and his name recognition is high for someone just starting out in local politics.

Meanwhile, Manny Abarca looks to be more methodical will likely focus on a ground game and some of his insider connections.

Developing . . .
