Quick local journalism debate . . .

If things ever get so desperate around here that I need to post a picture of a burned up lady with allegedly serious probs making a weird face during her mug shot photo . . . I'll hang it up with absolutely no regrets. 

Accordingly . . .

Northeast News can argue that they're posting a photo for community interest, as part of the public trust and in order to better serve residents . . . And those might all be legit arguments . . . But something would just FEEL wrong if I used the public image in question . . . 

Of course it's community news and info worth checking . . . But maybe directing people toward a police or community web page without any ad revenue would be the right play. 

Either way . . . 

I didn't think there was a line when it came to generating clicks with relevant info but it turns out I found one . . . And don't think this is about ethics because TKC has PROUDLY made post-menopausal women weep over their (pointless) wrecked political careers . . . In fact, this blog is mostly about bickering with post-menopausal women . . . Natch. 

Either way, this one got us thinking and we're not above offering a link for the curious who might or might not help police identify this lady in order to help her and a Northeast neighborhood . . .

Lykins searches for fire suspect

A message from Lykins Neighborhood Association: Please help the police find Denise Wahler. It is believed that she has started at least one fire in Lykins and there are multiple charges outstanding against her. She is small and thin, about 40 years old.
