Kansas City Star Finally Condemns Foul Language Against Commander-In-Chief

Funny we didn't notice much resistance against so many rude attacks against right-wing leaders.

Nevertheless, a recent screed for civility makes a worthwhile point and, finally, offers a balanced view of potty mouth politics from both sides of the aisle.

Here's the best line . . .

Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. Such publicly viewable indecency is corrosive to the body politic and toxic to the health of a republic, or any other civilized society. Donald Trump certainly didn’t help with repeated profanity at his campaign rallies. Likewise, Trump critic Robert DeNiro’s nationally televised epithet “F--- Trump” on stage at the 2018 Tony Awards was equally inexcusable, as was the sick standing ovation that followed. Nor does such foulness further anyone’s favorite cause, on either side of the political divide . . .

And have you ever noticed that the more profanity is used, the less impact it has? Repeated and combative cursing says infinitely more about the speaker than the subject.

Again, they're right . . . People who traffic solely in expletives are merely revealing that they're unable to express themselves otherwise . . . For instance, the "Let's Go Brandon" meme is far more clever than the rowdy sporting chant rebuking the current Prez . . . Even if many progressives also call it a right-wing slur despite the fact that it's pretty fucking funny no matter how voters lean.
