A quick comment sent our way deserve some consideration because it's brilliant . . .
Just a bit of background first . . .
Remember that Kansas City "progressives" have flipped the Northland upside down in order to stop GOP progress in the suburbs and ratchet down political organizing . . .
Northlanders thought they had ducked a bullet. But by one vote, the council ignored the wishes of Northland leaders in drawing new city council lines."But apparently none of them know anything about the Northland," Northland Neighborhoods Deb Herman A panel adjusting council districts to reflect census changes, proposed two full Northland districts.
Meanwhile, Democratic Party leaders across the nation are shouting at the top of their lungs over a similar split underway in the Dotte . . .
Kansas lawmakers are still working on new congressional district maps. One map that was passed by the Kansas Senate would divide Wyandotte County in half.On Monday, U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids visited a small business in Merriam, which is part of her job as the representative for the Third District.Right now, her district includes Merriam.
Accordingly, here's the word . . .
"You can't have it both ways. If it's wrong to divide Wyandotte County then it's wrong to turn the Northland upside down in Kansas City, Missouri. I see a lot of people getting indignant about what's going on in Kansas but totally ignoring the fact that Mayor Lucas and his allies on the council did exactly the same thing December in the name of equity."
You decide . . .
