Kansas City Deadly Gunfire Sparks Suspicious Death Investigation

The latest local killing occurred overnight and it starts this day dedicated to a man of peace.

Suspicious death 5500 block of Saida

This evening just before 11pm, officers were called to the 5500 block of Saida on a reported shooting.  Upon arrival, they located the victim, an adult male, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a residence.  EMS responded to the scene and declared the victim deceased.

This case is being investigated as a suspicious death at this time.  Detectives have responded to the scene as well as crime scene personnel.  They will be processing the scene and canvassing for witnesses.
