KANSAS CITY COUNTS FIRST TWO HOMICIDES OF 2022!!!

Today a shooting victim from yesterday succumbed to his injuries.

And, deadly violence erupted this afternoon . . . Here's the latest and the first report . . . 

 Homicide 5700 block of Agnes

On today’s date, at about 2:30 PM, officers were dispatched on a shooting in the 5700 block of Agnes. Upon arrival officers observed a male victim unresponsive inside of a vehicle. The victim appeared to have been shot. EMS responded and pronounced that victim deceased. There’s no suspect information at this time.

Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence. If you have any information please call the Homicide unit at 234-5043. If you wish to remain anonymous you can call the TIPS hotline at 474-TIPS, with up to a $25,000 reward for an arrest in this case.

KCPD investigating homicide in area of 57th & Agnes

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened on Thursday. Around 2:45 p.m., the police department emailed the media stating that they are conducting such an investigation in the 5700 block of Agnes Ave. No further information is available at this time.
