Already the local homicide count is starting to escalate and deadly crime continues to trend upward over the past five years.
After a brief respite early in the year, the pace of local killing tragically resumes.

Homicide 6200 Block Of St. John
On today’s date, around 12:30 AM, officers were dispatched to the 6200 block of St. John on a shooting. Upon arrival officers found an adult FEMALE on the sidewalk who had been shot. EMS responded and pronounced him deceased. There is no suspect information at this time and we are asking for the public help.
Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence. If you wish to remain anonymous you can call the TIPS hotline at 474-TIPS, with up to a $25,000 reward for an arrest in this case.
