Kansas City 2022 Homicide #8: Lady Shot Dead On St. John Sidewalk

Already the local homicide count is starting to escalate and deadly crime continues to trend upward over the past five years. 

After a brief respite early in the year, the pace of local killing tragically resumes.

Here's the first report . . .

Homicide 6200 Block Of St. John

On today’s date, around 12:30 AM, officers were dispatched to the 6200 block of St. John on a shooting. Upon arrival officers found an adult FEMALE on the sidewalk who had been shot. EMS responded and pronounced him deceased. There is no suspect information at this time and we are asking for the public help.

Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence. KCPD investigating man's death in Northeast Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is investigating a homicide in the 6200 block of St. John Avenue. Police said they were called to the area around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday for a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man on the sidewalk who had been shot.
