Mayor Sly James Endorses Justice Horn for the Jackson County Legislature

KANSAS CITY, MO - Mayor Sly James has officially endorsed Justice Horn for the 1st-in-District seat of the Jackson County Legislature.

“Justice Horn is part of the next generation of leadership in Kansas City. He is experienced, passionate, and ready to serve Jackson County the way it deserves. I am proud to announce my endorsement of Justice for the 1st-in-District seat of the Jackson County Legislature in 2022.”

As Mayor, Sly James accomplished a great deal for Kansas City and Jackson County, championing the streetcar, universal pre-K, and the passage of an $800 million infrastructure package.

After serving his country as a military police officer in the Marines from 1971-1975 in California, the Philippines, and Japan during the Vietnam War, Sly graduated cum laude from Rockhurst College with a B.A. in English. He then went on to earn his law degree, also cum laude, from the University of Minnesota in 1983. Prior to his election, he enjoyed a successful legal career which spanned almost three decades. -Excerpt from wickhamjames.com.
