Currently this town endures a murder spike that might be one of the worst we've ever seen.
Meanwhile, property crime and all manner of misdeeds seem to be on the uptick.
Tonight, news of a local church robbed drives home the point about a crime uptick . . .
Now, church leaders at Gregg Tabernacle AME church must figure out how to replace nearly $15,000 worth of stolen equipment and products.
Pastor Brenda Smith said she and other church members discovered the break-in Saturday morning.
"Oh I was shocked, yes ma’am I was shocked to the core," Smith said.
