Here's why this is always a big deal . . .
When buses crash, people move around, traffic keeps going and life goes on . . .
However, a streetcar crash holds up traffic for HOURS and causes major delays along the streetcar line.
To be fair, it would be worse if more workers used this outdated TOY TRAIN form of transit. Most of the riders are tourists or the homeless.
Today's report . . .
Officials said a truck traveling on Truman Road ran a red light and collided with streetcar 801.
No one was injured and the streetcar is being assessed for damage.

KC Streetcar involved in downtown crash
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A KC Streetcar was involved in a minor crash downtown Monday. The crash happened around 11 a.m. at Truman Road and Main Street. Officials said a truck traveling on Truman Road ran a red light and collided with streetcar 801. No one was injured and the streetcar is being assessed for damage.
