Tragedy near the holidays worsens in Kansas City.
Here's the aftermath of an infant death and a horrific reminder . . . The record number of homicides for one month is 20 set in August 2008. We're 8 murders from passing that tragic milestone.

Infant death from September has been ruled a homicide: 4200 block of N. Locust
Officers were dispatched to this location regarding an infant non-breather. EMS did CPR on the victim at the scene and was able to get a pulse and transported the child to a local hospital.
On 12-15-2021 the Homicide Unit received the final ruling of the Medical Examiner indicating that the case was ruled as a Homicide. The investigation continues.
